UI / UX Design
College of Medicine Univeristy of Arizona
The Comprehensive Education Center (CEC) is a newly formed academic support department under the University of Arizona’s College of Medicine, focused on helping students navigate their academic journey through personalized advising, resources, and outreach.
Year :
2024
Industry :
Education and Healthcare
Client :
Comprehensive Education Center
Project Duration :
1.5 Years

Problem :
As a brand-new department, CEC lacked digital visibility, student awareness, and a clear channel for outreach. There was no website or structured online presence to connect students with advisors or provide academic guidance.

Solution :
I conducted user interviews with students and held strategy discussions with faculty to understand pain points and expectations. Based on those insights, I designed and developed CEC’s first website, created social media content, and built onboarding materials to clearly communicate CEC’s mission and services. My efforts bridged the gap between students and the department through accessible, engaging design.

My Role :
Lead Website Designer & Point of Contact
Conducted user research and translated findings into design solutions
Collaborated with developers to ensure functional delivery
Created Instagram reels, short-form content, and onboarding materials
Supported admissions and advising teams with branded communication assets
Results :
Launched the first-ever website for CEC, officially establishing its presence at the University of Arizona
Increased student awareness and engagement through digital outreach
Built strong collaboration across design, development, and academic advising teams
Contributed to a smoother onboarding process for future CEC students
